As you will see throughout our website and in our offices, we use the bamboo to symbolize strength, flexibility, and health. Its strength teaches us to stand upright and its flexibility teaches us to adapt to the harshest circumstances. The combination of these virtues teaches us how to find balance and inner peace in our lives, in turn improving our health. This is our goal for you!
How We Started:
GlobeCoRe was founded in November 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia by our president, Kelly M. Lewis-Arthur, Ph.D. (affectionately known as Dr. Kelly) with the aim to improve the lives of underrepresented communities globally by creating and managing programs that work, conducting culturally sensitive therapy and psychological evaluation, supporting organizational change, and training for diversity outcomes and results in a global market. It all started with a vision inspired by her longstanding international development work in Africa and the Caribbean, and over 20 years of experience in social justice work. Combined with her decades of management consulting and research work as a university professor, Dr. Kelly realized the need to create, evaluate, educate and advocate for individual, organizational, and community change on a larger scale, nationally and internationally. This shaped our formal vision at GlobeCoRe for Better People, Places, and Programs in a Better World and laid the foundation for our two branches at GlobeCoRe: Psychological Services & Consulting Services. We now work diligently to provide diverse services in a variety of domains to individuals, couples, families, groups, and organizations and we continue to grow as an organization bringing on diverse clinicians, consultants and staff that meet the diverse needs of our clients.
